Replacing feet on a tiPowerBook
I have an 867Mhz tiPowerbook. I have lost the rubber foot next to the
battery compartment. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement.

the same size as the Apple ones. Do an ebay search for powerbook feet
and you'll find them. The Apple replacement feet are really expensive -
something like $20 for 4.
I found some acceptable (to me at least) replacement feet at a local
electronics shop. The ones I'm using are made by 3M but packaged by
Hammond Manufacturing. They're 7.8 x 2.2 mm dots, Hammond cat. #
1421T6CL. Any decent electronics shop should be able to get them, or
will at least have a catalogue that you can look through to find
something that will work.
The feet I'm using are clear, not black, and a little smaller in
diameter than the original ones, but they stick better, both to the
powerbook and to desks, and the cost was around $4 for a package of 24.

Hi,
Can find them at hardware store as well, like Home Depot.

mentioning are they just rubber button or do they actually screw in.
Mine seemed to be attached to an aluminum leg.

I have one of those drives with four extra feet - but being a bit anal - I
would prefer exact replacements.

Mine seem to have some sort of piece of rubber that extends through the case
a bit. I believe they are more than just glued on - but could easily be
wrong.

the receptor. I got a few relacement feet "complimentary" from the Apple
store when I picked up our iBook after the display repair. But that was
while it was still under warranty... In the meantime we have gone through
these and will have to try the alternatives...
