replacing images
I am running Contribute 3.1 and I want to be able to replace an image on a
page, but I don't seem to be able to do it. In may seguratheuser asked the
same question and then replied to himself that he had been able to do it, but I
have the same problem and don't know how to do it. Thanks for your help.

"Allow users to delete the files that they have permission to edit".. If
you have this setting enabled, then simply do File->Publish file from my
computer, select the image and choose your site and the location where
you want to publish it... since there is already an image existing, it
will now prompt you to select one of the two options
a) create a similar image file name (ex: imagename_000.jpg)
b) Replace the file with this new version.
Choose b.

Re: replacing images
I am using Contribute CS3, however I am having a problem
I want to be able to replace an image, however keep the original name and not
have
two copies of this an image with the same or similar name (eg tom.jpeg and/or
tom1.jpeg) in
my workfiles....
Does contribute allow you to save images to the existing workfiles on the
website.?...If yes, how?

Re: Replacing images
After reviewing the documentation, I can't figure out how to do this either. Can someone explain how? I would like to replace, not add images to our website.

Re: Replacing images
It's pretty straightforward to do this, but you need 'delete' rights set for
your role by the administrator.
1. in the main menu go to Publish file from my computer
2. browse to the file you want to upload instead of the existing image
3. select the image, select the site you want to upload to
4. insert the name of the image that has to be replaced and select the folder
the image is in
5. click Publish
6. check 'replace imagename.jpg with your version'
7. done
