    Default Resize a document format

    Hi,

I'm simply trying to take an A3 piece of work and shrink it down to A4 - I'm selecting everything and scaling it down manually. Can I accomplish it without having to do this ?

    Thanks,

    Mac

Default Re: Resize a document format

Layout > Layout Adjustment > Enable Layout Adjustment.

After turning this on, go to document setup and change the page size. Everything that touches margin and column guides will reorient to some degree. Afterward, turn off Layout Adjustment.

You will probably still have some work to do.

Default Re: Resize a document format

Another approach would be to PDF the page, and place it scaled down into the smaller page.

Another approach would be to select everything on the page, and use the scale tool or the transform palette to scale everything smaller.

Yet another approach would be to select everything on the page, group them, and do a ctrl-shift drag to resize all objects.

Be sure to check your transform and/or control palette options to make sure content transforms (scales) with frames and whether you want to scale the stroke edges or not.
