Resize larger flash ad to a smaller size ad?
I have an SWF file that is currently 300 x 250 and I need to resize it to 180 x 150. Is it possible? Do I need the FLA file to do it? If so, is there an easy way?

Re: Resize larger flash ad to a smaller size ad?
If you want a decent looking ad, then the answer is Yes, you need the FLA and
any fonts used. Then you basically need to resize, reorder, and reposition all
of the elements within the banner so that it fits properly within a small
banner area such as 180x150. 180x150 is what is typically used as the ad space
at the top of AOL Instant Messenger. This is typically how you "resize" a
banner, in ad production. It's a general process that most everyone takes to
change the dimensions of an ad. It will take some time depending on the
complexity of the file, it's not something that happens in a matter of minutes.
There are 'other' quick and dirty methods of resizing it without the FLA by
just changing the dimensions of the SWF in the HTML code and changing the scale
parameter in the object/embed tags, but it will look pretty bad, especially if
you have bitmap images and other things that don't downscale.
Hope that helps.
