    Default Resizing an image...

    I have a jpg that when clicked upon opens to about 4 x 6 on screen. How can I resize this photo so that the maximum it will only open to is a 3" x 4" image?

    Thanks,
    Rachel.

    To Resize it select Image: Resize: Image Size. You can type in your dimensions in this dialog box. You'll get some distortion if you want exactly 3x4 because it won't stay proportional. (A proportional resize would be 4x2.667 or 3x4.5.

    Tim,

    If you are only trying to resize for screen viewing, I would try;

    Image>Resize>Image Size
    have the Resample Box checked
    change the unit to Percentage
    type in 75 (for the %)
    and then let the program do its thing

    I have not tried this, but it seems like the easiest way to go and it should work.

    Tim,

    My earlier post assumes you are opening this in a browser, because if viewing in PSE, the display size would be dictated by the Zoom factor you have selected.
