Default resizing page sizes etc etc..

    Hi all...

This might sound like a silly question to all experienced users of DW, but
Im trying to build a new site that, if viewed on different screen
resolutions, will always fill 80 percent of the screen. using simple tables
to set the page out, and setting the table to 80 percent, rather than a
fixed pixel sized, doing this, my page does indeed resize according to
    differing resolutions....BUT...

I have a 1 row, 8 cell table containing my buttons, nav bar if you
like....made to be same size as the page content table...now, on 800 x 600
resolution, the button bar just looks perfect, all in order, same size as
    the page.

.....but....when I got 1024 x768 resolution, the nav bar looks pathetically
smaller than the now expanded page layout, is there a way to make the
    button images resize too??

    have I explained clearly enough?

    help appreciated, thanks in advance!!

If the buttons are images, you can't really resize them. (disclaimer: I
think there are ways in e.g. Flash to do this....)

However, I don't think you should worry at all. People are used to their
preferred screen resolution and the size of e.g. buttons. If you're
    using 800 x 600 on a daily basis, and switch to 1024 x 768 to see the
    effect, I think that's what's happening.

    Example: I'm on 1280 x 1024 and my brother on 800 x 600. When he's using
my compute, he compains that everything is so tiny. When I'm using
his, I think everything looks ridiculously large, like stuff on a toy
    for 2 years old kids.

You COULD set the image dimensions using percent, but with the
horrible way browsers resize images, they would very likely be
unreadable when displayed at anything other than their actual size.
