Result set returned pauses for every page before it continues on - IBM DB2

I have run stored procedure (SP) at DB2 CLP as follows: db2 call proc(1,2002,'%','%','123') It ran and returned about 8000 rows successfully for this particular SP. The problem is that the result displaying on monitor pauses every page or so for about 10-20 seconds. The pause is so obvious. Executing other stored procedures do not have this pausing even they return a larger result sets. Has anyone come across this? Default Result set returned pauses for every page before it continues on

I have run stored procedure (SP) at DB2 CLP as follows:

    db2 call proc(1,2002,'%','%','123')

It ran and returned about 8000 rows successfully for this particular
    SP.

The problem is that the result displaying on monitor pauses every page
or so for about 10-20 seconds. The pause is so obvious. Executing
other stored procedures do not have this pausing even they return a
    larger result sets.

    Has anyone come across this?

Another problem I found is that if I press 'ctrl + C' keys to
interrupt the display while it is scrolling, this freezes the
subsequent entry no matter what I keyed in. Looks like it is doing
something in the background. I have to eventually reboot the W2K
    server.

    Platform is W2K DB2 V8.1 FP2.

    Thank you in advance.

You might want to take a snapshot to see if the app is waiting on locks
    etc...

    Hi Sean,

I ran the 'get snapshot for application' and it registered no locks at all.

However, I managed to create a few indexes for tables used by SP, rebound the SP
and it ran successfully without pause (why?!):

    Here is result from db2batch:

    Elapsed Time (s): 16.860
    Rows Fetched: 8248
    Rows Printed: 8248

BTW, the W2K Server has 4 CPUs and 4G of memory.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Nek.
