Reverting to root index - Macromedia Dynamic HTML

I have set up a dynamic content section "domain>folder 1>folder 2>Admin section" when I exit "page within admin, my link is set to go back to the "index page" within the admin but on my local machine, for some reason, it defaults to the index at the domain. I have checked all of my links and they are correct. What is happening?...

    Did you try something like: ../../../index.php or just ../index.php (actually
    with two dots and slash, which are representing folder-->root) on redirection
    page on log out?
    Please reply on the post, if this will solve your problem.

    I appreciate your reply but that didn't work either. For some reason it is
    echoing out as /index.php instead of index.php. I thought it might be because
    of the statement;

    if (isset ($_SESSION['PrevUrl']) && true) {
    $MM_redirectLoginSuccess = $_SESSION['PrevUrl'];

    So I commented that out and then the page logged in correctly. But then when
    I went back, I couldn't reproduce this on any other page. So I am back to
    square one.
