RGB to LAB to RGB
I want to turn an image BW but then return to RGB mode so I can use the history brush. The way I am doing it now is I change to LAB color delete channels A and B then I have to chagne to grayscale, then to RGB mode again. After that I make a snapshot in the history of the BW image in RGB mode. I then want to go back and color some of the image. But it wont let me. If i click on the original image's history to return the whole thing to color i can then use the history of the BW image on the color image with the history brush.
Why can't i go either way??

Re: RGB to LAB to RGB
Then use Channel Mixer as an adjustment layer no? You get fine control that way, you can stamp the layer then use the history brush as you like.

Re: RGB to LAB to RGB
know that there is a way to do it tho. Because i do it at work all the time. But now i am at home and it has completely slipped my mind how to do it. Guess that is what happens when you use actions too often.
