    Default Roaming Profiles

I want to move two of my users to another site (different server, same AD).

They both have roaming profiles which I want to move from their current
server to their new home server.

What is the best way to do this?

Should I simply delete their existing server-based profiles, change AD to
point the roaming profile to the new server and then let it create a new
server-based profile from their machines cached copy?

Or can I copy the profile from the server and then change AD to point to it
on the new server? Will this cause any problems?

    Thanks

    Default Re: Roaming Profiles

I would copy the roaming profiles from the old server to the new
server. Then point to the new profile. Make sure the ACL's are ok
on the new server. This will help the end user because they won't
have to wait for upload from their machines to the new server. This
could be a pain for larger profiles.

This method inovlves more work for you, but it is not that bad and we

    Default Roaming profiles

    Hi there

I have a domain in two sites with active directory set up
and configured with roaming profiles. I am worried about
high traffic over the connection between the two sites
and I am wondering if there is a way I can set up a
server on one site so that it duplicates the profiles
from the other site so that whenever a logon is requested
the data is available on the local server.

Thanks very much for your assistance
