Re: Rollback deleted page
When setting up contribute and administering the site, there is an option for
how many rollbacks to save. I set mine to 3, but haven't actually tested it -
not sure how to even do the rollback. But from what I've seen I think the
answer is 'yes you can roll back a deleted page' if the number of rollbacks in
the setting is more than zero to save.

Re: Rollback deleted page
Thanks for your reply javabean13 but we already set the Enable Rollback option
checked, and Rollback count 99. After editing a page you select the page and
Rollback to a previous version, but the problem is you cannot select a page
from "Choose" button so you cannot rollback a deleted file.
Can you rollback a deleted file?

Re: Rollback deleted page
If you know the original location and file name of the page you can browse to
it (or more precisely browser to where it use to be) by typing in the full
address into the address window. Contribute will give you a server error as
the page no longer exists but then under File/Action you will get the rollback
option (if rollbacks are on) for the page that was at the location. You can
then rollback the deleted page to a previous version. This will work if you
deleted the page with Contribute.
If you deleted the page with Dreamweaver you may not be able to rollback.
When deleting a page that has rollbacks with Dreamweaver you will get a prompt
that allows you to delete the page along with (or without) the rollback
versions. If you delete the file and it's rollback versions then the file
cannot be recovered.

Re: Rollback deleted page
I would be wary about setting your rollback count so high. It saves a copy on
the server of the page for each rollback... meaning that you'll be using 99x
the normal amount of space (if you make 99 edits). I'd set it to a more
reasonable number, like 3 or 5 (or whatever you feel safe with). 99 is
overkill.
