    Default Rollover image with time delay feature?

    Hi; I have an online gallery site displaying works by several different
    artists; the arist names are listed in a left-hand navigation pane, and I have
    added a rollover effect whereby the user can view an example image for each
    artist by rolling over the artist's name, and a preview image appears below the
    list of names. I'm wondering if it's possible to implement a sort of time
    delay, so that instead of this preview image appearing immediately upon
    rollover, the user must hold his/her cursor over the name for, say, one second
    to make the preview image appear.

    The reason for this is to avoid the mad flicker one experiences by just moving
    the cursor over the list; this way, the user can pause on each name to make the
    rollover image appear;

    Is there a simple JavaScript out there to implement this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Show us your page so we can see this mad flicker, please.

    I was actually able to figure this out, finally; at the suggestion of another forum user, I added the setTimeout feature; once I figured out the right syntax, voila!
