rookie user needs clarity
I've downloaded a trial version of Contribute CS3 and installed it onto my
personal computer. It was easy to intall and easy to use. I'm hoping to be
able to use Contribute to allow specific people to access a client's web pages
and update content, but my brain is not understanding what I need to do to
accomplish this.
What do I install on my client's host server (Contribute CS3 or Contribute
Publishing Server)? Is there support for those who need help (ME) installing
the necessary components onto a server? I think I can take care of the
configuration/permissions once it's setup, but just not quite understanding
how/what to install.

Randy:
You don't have to install anything on the customer's Web host.
Contribute runs on client machines. The administrator's copy of
Contribute puts a bunch of hidden files on the Web server to govern how
the other Contribute users must behave when editing files.
The administrator sets rules regarding what other users can do, but you
also have to work with file system permissions to make sure this
actually works.
The users must be able to connect via WebDAV, FTP, Secure FTP (SFTP) or
a file share. Contribute Publishing Server is an optional piece of software.
