    Default rotating the canvas

    Hi

I can't find an answer for this - is it possible to flip/rotate the orientation of the whole canvas.

    Cheers

    Latchet,

Not WITH the content. You can flip/rotate the content (having sleeted all)
and then change the page orientation from Document Setup

If your purpose is to be able to draw at a "tilted" angle, as if you rotated your drawing pad on your desk, try turning on the Grid visibility (View>ShowGrid)and changing the Constrain angle in the General pane of the Preferences dialog. It will not rotate pre-existing art, but thereafter all the drawing tools will assume the angle you entered to be 0 degrees. So, for example, if you drag out a rectangle, it will be rotated just like the grid.

    hi all

thanks for the replies. the purpose is for a sandwhich board display with both sides on one piece of work so there is upside down text on half of it.

thought it might be possible just to flip the whole artboard to work on each side of the text accordingly.

    best regards

    Latchet,

I think there is a very simple solution (Save your artwork before you try it):

    With all the artwork visible:

    a) CtrlA to select everything
    b) AltO(bject)>T(ransform)>R(otate)
    c) Choose 180 degrees to flip

This should not change layers, position of centre or anything.

    Remember to flip back.
