Is it possible to rotate warped text without converting to outlines? I have text lines shaped with multiple arcs and arches and when I rotate the shapes become distorted. I'd like to be able to edit the type later so would rather not convert to outlines.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Yes.

This is one of the uses for the awkwardly named: Effect>Distort & Transform>Transform. Use the Rotate effect in there on your already-warped text.

    Julie,

Just be aware that it is an effect, so the transformed text is only an image: the original text is neither moved nor rotated.

Later changes have to be made where the origial text still is, so you have to find the right spot to select it and look at the transformed image to see what you are doing (most tricky if you move as well, especially long distances).
