Default Rounded Rectangles Warping

I've noticed that if I make a rounded rectangle (vector), than resize it by typing in the numbers, the corners get warped. The only way to avaid this (AFAIK) is to drag the corner handles. Am I missing something?

I played around this for a while and was kind of shocked I never noticed
this before. Tried several things to get it to work. I tried:

1) Dragging which you noted worked.
2) Properties Inspector, where you noticed it failing.
3) Numeric Transform, same results as #2
4) Resize Selected Objects extension, same results as #2.

If you missed something, it's not readily obvious. If someone posts a
solutions. This is definitely one of those things that don't really bother
you till you know about it. ;o) Will check out some other things and post
back if there is any success. If not, I will be off sulking in a corner.

Cheers,
Sam

Basically, the corners get out of proportion. I saw an extension somewhere
specifically designed to fix this, but can't remember where. Anyway, this
one should work well enough for what you need.

Hi, Amy!
I think the extension you mentioned is the "Fix Rounded Rectangles" extension available at http://www.johndunning.com/fireworks

Thanks guys!

Not perfect, but I can live with it.

I guess fixing one out of two gripes with FW is pretty good :)
