Default RSS / Weblog latest with MM

Less than 24 hours ago I heard the term "blog" for the first time.
Now I hear that macromedia had/have planned to integrate the technology into
    their products.

Is this happening? Is it currently supported? By which software?

    thanks

Most blog applications are simply packages solutions which can be written
using existing MM products. RSS is completely different but again MM has
been offering this for over a year.

can you elaborate or point me to some documentation?
I've registered with blogger.com so I can make site comments on the fly.
    good for news pages etc.

But how does this relate to MM products?
Forget RSS I thought it was something else.

All a blog is, is a simple database retrieval system where the content is
displayed in decending date order. The ones that have a calender on them
again are simple using a calender app that will change the color baced on
    whether content is present.

If you work through the DMX tutorials you will see what I mean. All you need
is a simple insert form, and then a display page.
