Default Same as Source & Printer Color Manager

I have an Epson 2200 printer and I just bought GretagMacbeth iOne Photo, making and using printer profiles is no problem. Now I'm curious and want to touch all bases as to what certain things mean in simple language. My questions are: In the Print with Preview window --> Print Space --> Profile, in the drop down menu at the very top are 2 options, "Same as Source" and "Printer Color Manager". What do these 2 options mean?
    Thanh you for your help

It *is* often the best choice for inkjet printing however, especially if
the PS user has color managment turned off.
