Samsung 1430 on a print server
Hi,
I have a Samsung 1430 attached via USB to a FreeBSD 5 router. I'm a CUPS
and LPD newbie, but I seem to have managed to get the 1430 to
print from the FreeBSD command line (PDFs and text anyway - the jury is
still out on PS and graphics :)
The FreeBSD box is configured with NAT to provide a home LAN through
an Airport Base Station for a couple of wireless OSX Powerbooks. I'd like
these machines to be able to print to the Samsung as well, but I'm a bit
lost in the configuration. I've tried adding in the IP address of the
print server using the Print Center utility, but that doesn't seem to
work. And the /etc/printcap files on the OSX machines tell me they are
autogenerated by CUPS, so I cannot configure the file to add a networked
printer there. Where do I go from here?
