"Save As" and "Save target as" missing
I'm using a new computer with Windows XP. When I right-
click on a picture or file, "Save as" and "Save target
as" are never on the menu. Not even gray-ed out. How
can I add these to the right-click menu? I realize not
every picture on the internet can be saved, but I can't
save anything, ever. Any help will be greatly
appreciated...this is driving me crazy!

Re: "Save As" and "Save target as" missing
Hi Laura, The only thing I can think of is this:
Registry key:
HKEY CURRENT USER/Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions
Parameter: NoBrowserSaveAs
Type: string
Comments: If this parameter is 1 then "File/Save As" menu is disabled in
Internet Explorer. To enable it set parameter to 0 or delete it.
Note you can save the registry key first by:
On the File menu, click Export.
In the File name box, type SaveKey, and then click Save.
Or create a system restore point prior to editing.
Note: If the registry key is not there, you can simply create one by going
edit > new.

HOW TO: Back Up, Edit, and Restore the Registry in Windows XP
Disclaimer: Modifying the registry can cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Use the information provided
at your own risk.

Re: "Save As" and "Save target as" missing
You can also use third-party software to save pics in IE.
Incredible Automatic Downloader - is a very nice tool, it allows you
to save a pic with a single click! And has no problems with file
types. It also frees you from necessity to enter file name or location
every time you save a pic.
