Default Save As EPS, Fonts not Outlinning

The problem I'm having is that when ever I save a PDF file to EPS, in the Setting and in the Transparency Flattening section there is a check box that says Convert All Text to Outlines. After when I open the EPS in Illustrator the Font is not outlined. That is only with Type 1 fonts, but TrueType and OpenType fonts outline fine. Is there anyway to get Type 1 fonts to outline?

I have to use this work flow because when I receive print ready PDFs and sent the directly to my RIP it will flush the job because of a font problem. So to print my file I have to outline the font and print from Illustrator.

Acrobat 6.0 Professional and Acrobat 7.0 Professional are the versions I have tried this with. On OSX

the check box says "Convert All text to outlines" not "Convert text to outlines" it actually means that IF ANY text requires outlining then convert ALL the text on the page to outline.

You need to have a transparent object on the page. PitStop 7 can can convert the fonts to outline. Another workaround is placing the pdf in InDesign then add a transparent object to the page and re-export to pdf v1.3 this will also invoke the ID convert all text to outline in the flatteneing style

Must bring up De_Siem's suggestion from a couple of months ago - add a
small object with transparency without leaving Acrobat with the ADD
HEADERS AND FOOTERS command - still love that one !
