    Default save as formats

I have tried to save a scanned pdf to word using the save as feature. The entire three page typed document is treated as one image. I am using Adobbe 7.0 on an Intel based Mac and have MS office 2004 installed. Is this normal behavior or am I misreading the directions. Thanks for any help.

A normal scan of any document gives you an image of its contents. If you want text, you must run the scan through an OCR program. I think Acrobat 7 has some of this functionality, but there are plenty of specialized programs out there. And there is no product called Adobbe, or even Adobe :-)

    Default Re: save as formats

To convert the image to text, you must run Capture which in version 7 is located
under the Document Menu and called Recognize Text using OCR.
