Default save as in 2003 Publisher

After I added a picture in Publisher 2003 and then do a
save, it comes back with an error saying " the disk is
    write protected..read only file"
    any idea...?

    Using Windows 2000.

    thanks

Might right click both the pub file and the original image file and under
properties of the file see if it's got the read only checked. of course if
you see a read only checked uncheck it.
