Re: Save As, then "File is damaged. Error code 1"
Are you saving files to a file server? I am experiencing a similar problem but I find if I save to my desktop or hard drive the problem goes away. Have note been able to resolve problem when saving to the server.

Re: Save As, then "File is damaged. Error code 1"
HI Sue:
No, we don't save files to a server (though we archive finished job files to a server). Our designer was doing a "save as" to the same folder that the original, i.e., the working, file was in. The file and its folder are on the desktop, but I wouldn't think that this in itself would be a problem.
By any chance do you know what Error Code 1 means, or where I can find information on it? I tried a search here in the forum, but this error code doesn't come up. Thanks for your input, Sue.

Have you checked the permissions for the folder you are trying to save to? If you only have read access, you will get this error message. I ran into the same problem, and when I changed the permissions on the folder to "read / write" it fixed the issue. Hope this helps.
