SAVE FOR WEB not available after 1 use! HELP - Adobe Illustrator Macintosh

I am using Panther and there is an issue in Illustrator 10.0.3 that is driving me crazy! I work on a 1.25GHZ G4 with 512 MB of RAM. When I use the SAVE FOR WEB option, it works wonderfully, once. After I have saved a file once, or cancel it after it previews, it will not work. It will not work for that file or any other file. Default SAVE FOR WEB not available after 1 use! HELP

It is available in the File menu, but if it is selected, nothing happens.

The only way I found to make it work again is to quit Illustrator and re-launch it.

As you can imagine, this is VERY annoying and time consuming. Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve it?

    Thanks.

Trying doing a forum search for your topic. This has been covered several times, I think.

    Yes!
After I dug around for what seemed like forever, I found the solution posted deep in a forum.

It is as simple as dumping the preferences - Save for Web folder.

    Whoo hoo! Hopefully this lasts!

    Thanks.

Hi, I'm have the same problem but when I close Ai the save for web button still doesn't work. What do you mean it's as easy as dumping the preferences? How do I go about doing this?
