File > Export > From the dropdown meny select pdf as file format.> how do i save a freehand document as a pdf
For better and more reliable pdf file use Acrobat Distiller. Especially for
print.

When I export as a PDF, I find that I have too many weird issues concerning things not appearing or too low resolution.
I have found that the more reliable method is to use the Save as PDF that is part of the print menu. You will find it after you have chosen "Print". It is in the bottom left of the Print dialog.
