Saving logo with action
I have captioned a number of photos with the batch/actions command, but run into a block trying to add a logo to the caption...keep getting the message that the move command isn't accepted. I know there is a way. What am I overlooking.

Re: Saving logo with action
Hard to say without knowing exactly what the action does, step by step.
My guess would be that you are not on the correct layer when you are trying to move your logo.
If that's the case, a nifty trick is to incorporate the following into your action.
Be on the layer with the logo. Start recording: Select|All; Layer|Align Layer to Selction<left or right etc.); Layer|Align Layer to Selction<top or bottom, etc.)
Peace,
Tony

Re: Saving logo with action
My action opens a picture file, sets it size to 4x5.25,then changes the canvas size to 4x6. I then add text to the 4x.75 bottom so that my event pictures are captioned. This works just fine as is. What I need is to add my logo and another one as well, and have experimented several ways without luck. As I indicated I can do this outside of the action command.I don't know if I can record an action from the logo layer and get what I need but I'll try. I'll see whatever feedback I hear from others.

Yes, you can.
If your "logo" is text only, do this:
Start recording: Click on text tool, click in middle of image, type your text. Add any stylizing you like, and confirm it. Then run the alignment steps I outlined in the previous post.
Done and done.
Peace,
Tony

Re: Saving logo with action
The logos are jpeg images.I have to open both the logo file and the picture file at the same time to access the logos, and this is where I run into the problem trying to capture the logo.

Re: Saving logo with action
Ah, more difficult then.
You have to use the contents of the clipboard in your action. So open the logo, Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C.
Then in your action record the pasting of your logo, then do the alignment routine I posted earlier.
It's the only way really.
