scaling an object changes colors to gray
Hello all,
In AI 10, I have created a tree, filled it with green gradient, and applied an Effect (Artistic-smudge stick.) When i scale the tree up or down, the green gradient turns to gray, but in the fill box still display the green gradient.
I appreciate any advice. Thanks

Re: scaling an object changes colors to gray
PC,
I just did the same thing (but in CS) and got just a true scale of what was created using Gradient and Artistic Smudge stick. Did you click the Scale/Scale Strokes and Effects? Although I didn't find that to create grey gradinets either. What happens if you delete the AIPrefs file with Illustrator closed, then reopen and do the same thing?

Re: scaling an object changes colors to gray
Have you got anything running on your system when this happens that could be causing the problem? Does it happen always? Have you tried an over install of Illustrator to see if that's corrected? In your overinstall, don't forget to update again also to 10.0.3.
