Default Scaling with 10.0.3 in OSX

I used to be able to hold down the shift key while resizing objects and they would retain their integrity while scaling. However I have just upgraded to OSX Panther and this feature doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? Is ILL 10.0.3 non-compatible with OSX? I would like to be able to scale objects using the keyboard and mouse rather than the scaling tool in the toolbox. Any help on how to do this will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

It's actually a server thing, I think. I had this problem a LONG time ago, so I may be a bit off here, but as I recall, you're probably connected to an SMB server or something or the sort. If you don't connect to it, you should be fine, but as soon as you do, POOF, there goes the neighbourhood. Make sure you're using the most updated versions of everything, I believe Apple fixed this issue a while back.

For some reason, the Keychain function in OS X is coming into my mind as well. The truth is out there... ;-)
