Default Scanner for Adobe Acrobat advice

I am looking for a good scanner for around or under $1000. Main feature is it has to be able to
handle stacks of docs to scan one after another. I can't handle my one-at-a-time
    flatbed scanner anymore.

It will be hooked to a new PC with Adobe Acrobat installed. I will be primarily scanning
many stacks of docs right into Acrobat.

    Your advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I have a client that has had good results with document scanning with
the HP 3300 MFP. It can take multi-docs and also has flat bed. It is
also a printer and fax machine. I don't know how fast it is though.
