    I have the same problem, and I'm using Adobe 6.0 Standard with the update patch installed. I have to click next everytime and then what type of document (color, b&w, etc.) then the scan button again for each page. It worked great with Adobe 4.0, but 4.0 digital signatures and/or macros are outdated and I always get these error messages in Office XP. Any suggestions, besides downgrading to Adobe 4.0?
    Thanks,

    I'm having the same problem...multiple pages in the scanner ADF worked fine (i.e., AUTOMATICALLY) with Acrobat 4.x and 5.x. Not anymore.

    I am running Windows XP Pro SP1, Office 2003, Acrobat 6.01, HP Laserjet 3100 MFP.

    (FYI - I posted on this problem a few weeks ago. Haven't received any feedback from Adobe yet. Anyone? Anyone?)

    Sounds like Adobe didn't pay much attention to that detail about multiple pages. I downloaded the Pro version of Adobe 6 to see if it would make a difference and it does not. Maybe I should just go back to Adobe 4 and demand my money back from them. Spent enough on it.

    Each time I am scanning several pages at the same time with the ADF, Adobe Acrobat 6 seems to have a problem with their pilot because the documents are not entirely scanned, all the time it's miss a bottom of page or a middle of the page. And if I scan my documents with the ADF with another scanning software, all functions are working fine.

    P.S: The scanner is a HP ScanJet 5550C.

    Similar behavior for me - all other applications use the ADF just fine. Sounds lke bad TWAIN commands being passed from Acrobat 6. Hellooooooooo, Adobe?????? Are you listening???

    I think Adobe doesn't care. I used a HP1100A with an ADF scanner in Adobe 4 and it worked AWESOME. Then we upgraded and now it only does one page at a time. LAME ADOBE!

    Also, it's not just Adobe's problem.

    As has been stated before there are at least three software vendors involved.

    Adobe, Microsoft and the Scanner Manufacturer.

    The way I see it is this;

    Microsoft have provided an updated component in latest Windows versions (XP only?) - something to do with the TWAIN interface, not really sure.

    Adobe decided when they produced 6.0 to use this latest component (possibly quite rightly), not considering the knock on effects (or even testing!) how this would affect customers with older scanners etc etc.

    Meantime, the scanner manufacturers, also thinking about their bottom line did not upgrade their device drivers to use the new Microsoft component, as the old one was still available.

    This scenario is bourne out by the fact that some scanner manufacturers HAVE provided updated drivers, that have sorted the problems, and some scanners (HP7145) work faultlessly with Acrobat 6.0 out of the box.

    What is required is a combined approach from all parties to ensure that this does not happen in future. Adobe are far from blameless here, and should have tested Acrobat 6.0 on a wide spectrum of scanning hardware alreay out in the marketplace. The scanner manufacturers should have been quicker to supply new drivers as soon as the problem was known, although what margin there is in a 200 quid multifunction device to rewrite a driver, I don't know.

    Sorry to say, that for some, there will never be a solution, apart from either upgrading to a new scanner, that is known to work, downgrade Acrobat, or change the scanning procedure to scan outside of Acrobat, then import the scanned pages.
