Science symbols in Acrobat 5.0.1
I have Windows XP2002 and AA 5.0.1. Using Distiller, I cannot print Greek symbols (eg for alpha, gamma, etc) from Word into pdf. Instead I get a large amount of 'garbage' with a request to encode.
I do not know how to get round this, and it is important because some science journals will only accept pdf. Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Science symbols in Acrobat 5.0.1
Update to Acrobat 5.0.5 which is required for both Windows XP and also Office XP. I am not saying that it will fix the problem but it the first thing you should do.
