SCO 505 re-install by Upgrade method. - SCO

Hi, My SCO 5.0.5 Server currently running Oracle database. Due to recently the SCO 5.0.5 reboot automatically & Kernel panic K trap reason (I've gone thru hardware test, all ok) , I wanted to re-install my SCO 5.0.5 by using "Upgrade" method (Not Fresh). Question to check out :- 1) Will "upgrade" method installation still keep my current configuration files? (like services, tuning file, printer file, etc) 2) If not, which files should I copy back after installation? Thanks. iRonTech. -- Posted via http://dbforums.com...

You can't upgrade the same version. You can only do a fresh install.
And that's not the way to cure your problem anyhow.
    Tell us exactly what's happening.

Hey Rusty, try changing the parallel port mode in the BIOS setup.
Select the std parallel port and see if that makes any sort of difference.

This is the latest error message which I copy from server when Kernel
Panic this morning. I've run hardware diag test, all hardware no
