Not sure where you seeing a circularity. Here are the steps:

    Go to http://www.sco.com/download/.

    Click on "SCO Product Downloads".

Select "Java 2, Standard Edition, v. 1.3.1 for SCO UNIX Operating Systems".
[There *is* a confusing bit here. This entry is the latest patch level,
1.3.1_08a, and is thus more recent than the other 1.3.1 entries that do
    show a patch level.]

Sign in. Accept the license stuff.

Read the "Getting Started" page, the Release Notes page, or just start
    downloading the packages.

If the circularity you found was before getting to the first download
page, let us know where it was.

I suppose that The Orcale datbase is just not available at the moment.

Like J-P said, I think one of the download servers was just down when
you were trying. I checked just now and downloads work ok.

In any event, this doesn't seem like a "circular" problem....

If you follow what looks like the most appropriate link on some pages,
you do go in circles. I've done it myself more than once each time
they redesign a little. And I know where to go. Or at least, I know
what the right couple different pages look like and know when to stop.

It's like a traffic loop, where there are turn offs, but the main road
    goes in a circle forever.

    "The most appropriate link"

It reminds me of the European Vacation where Chevy Chase constantly passes
"Big Ben" going in a circle.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but it would help if you could identify
at least a couple of points on the loop.

Maybe the pages should download a sound clip of Yes's "Roundabout"!

Well I just took a quick look and it and I have to say I don't see a
problem. Guess they redesigned a little and removed some of the
ambiguous or misleading elements. It could also be that by now I am
just trained and can't make myself fall into the same traps now.

If it isn't now, I'll still say that it was an observable phenomenon
    for some time.
