Sco remote telnet disconnections - SCO

Hi I'm having a nightmare at the mo just changed from a very slow frame relay connection to a fast ADSL one, but now every so often (after a user hasn't used the terminal/pc for a while) they get disconnected. I've tried changing the idletime(idleout) to zero but it still keeps happening. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks -- Posted via http://dbforums.com...

    Hi

Been trying to figure this out for 2 years. Idle out is not your problem.
It has something to do with the TTL packet in TCP/IP.

I have tried changing the parameters for telnet and ssh but it has had
    no affect.

I believe it is related to ADSL. We have two clients who use SDSL
connections and they do not have these problems at all.

    Is it a VPN connection?
Do you have a router ?

It would help if you mentioned which parameters you had changed.

I also had those problems on ADSL and put KeepAlive yes in the
config files. Then the connections would stay up.

Then some HW got swapped and it has since reverted and I can't
find why it's changed as all the files seem to be the same.
[I say seem as the old HW files aren't accessible as it died]
