scratch disk error (didn't see this one in FAQ)

    It means what it says -- your hard disk(s) are full.

    run disk clean up on all your hd's.

    ok well I emptied the temp folder, and now it works! I'm not sure if emptying it helped (there was only file in there and it didn't seem to have anything to do with Adobe) or if it was one of those problems that somehow fixes it itself over time.

    You're fighting a losing battle by merely cleaning things out. They'll just fill up again.

    Buy an additional hard disk.
