Screen Saver Icon into System Tray - Windows XP/2000/ME

Does anyone know how to enable the screen saver icon in the system tray? It used to be there automatically in 98, I figured out how to add it for 2000, but now I am lost. Thanks!...

I followed the links but did not see anything pertaining
to the screen saver activation icon. Am I overlooking it?

Lilia, I don't remember this from Win98. Maybe it was an extra program
that you installed that did this?

PS: The XP screensavers are in the Windows folders and subfolders. Most
will be in the Windows\system32 folder. The default settings in XP will
hide these files. To make them visible use Folder Options> View to "show
all files" and uncheck the box to "hide system protected files."

Here is a utility which will accomplsh what you want:

http://home.mindspring.com/~tomcom/Miscellaneous/TRAY.EXE

For an example of its use create a shortcut with the following:

"C:\THE LOCATION OF THE TRAY.EXE\TRAY.EXE" c:\windows\system32\calc.exe

This will send the calculator to the system tray.

Hope this helps.
