I used to generate a lot of scripts in CF5 using the Wizards, specifically,
Data Entry and Drill-Down routines. For the past couple of years, the process
worked fine. In the past few weeks, almost no script generated by a CF5 Wizard
or done in Dreamweaver (site test server set for CF files) will operate but
what it almost always produces an error. For example, doing simple forms to
populate a database via a web page produces an error message that always refers
to a possible formatting issue regarding errors in a table and cell layout.
Yet, all TR and TD have proper opening and closing tags. Visually, there is
nothing wrong with the construct of the document. The message is always the
same in these instances. In the case of drill-down queries, it's always a
query error even though the CF5 program generated the code. Close examimation
of the code reveals nothing to me. I'm convinced I am now operating with
either corrupted files in my Dreamweaver MX (first edition) suite or something
in ColdFusion MX or CF 5 that is corrupted. Perhaps there are possible
corrupted files in the OBDC arena or in MDAC. I suspect a reinstallation may
be in order but, knowing that Windows does not do uninstalls cleanly, that's
almost an exercise in futility. Any recommendations would be most
appreciated. Thank you.
