Scroll text with scroll bar

I've created a chunk of text and I want it to scroll in a window. Managed to put a scroll bar on it, but cannot figure out how to size the window and make the scroll bar function.

What kind of window are you talking about.

After setting the property of the text/field member to 'scrolling' you
can resize the sprite in stage. Look at editing the text/field member
text widthwith right hand bar in edit window.

Field members have a border and shadow option that puts the text in a
