Search attachments stored in SQL Server
Hi.
I need to do a full text search on documents (.doc, .pdf, .txt etc) stored
in SQL Server. Is it possible and how do I do that using ASP.NET.
Which approach would be more feasible? Is it the above one or storing the
files in the file system and searching through them. I think the later
requires registering the proprietary application for each file type (MS Word
for doc, Acrobat reader for PDF etc) in the system where the Search is
called.
Can somebody please help me?
