    Default Search options

    Hi folks,

What would be the best way(or options) to go about making a search function for multiple documents?

I have about 40 docs with about 1000 pages total. I need to be able to search across all the docs and bring up the results so I can click and open up the pdf I choose.

    Cheers for any advise,

    Jake
I have most apps on both mac/pc so even solutions with Director etc are an option.

You can perform a search within Acrobat 6 Professional - cool feature
since the 'search' can be performed within a 'live' panel on the right
    hand side.

You will have to build a 'Catalogue' of the PDF first - this is a doddle.

You can then perform searches and click on a hypertext link to reveal
    your finds ...

You don't add a search field. The Search feature is part of the reader. All you need to do is make a button or a link - use Execute Menu Item and select Search. Reader will do the rest.

As for the catalog, once you produce it you need to assign it to the PDFs (or vice versa- whatever- they need to be formally introduced).
