Securing Database & DSN
Here is my situation:
I am using Access, IIS & OBDC to connect to my databases. Is there a way to
secure certain databases (namely the ones with usernames/passwords which allow
access to the CMS) so that they will not show their content if someone else has
ftp access the website and the ability to see all of the DSNs?

Re: Securing Database & DSN
with ftps you can restrict access to certain folders by creating new logins. the only other thing you can do is encrypt the data when its being posted into the database.

You'd only give FTP access to those who have permissions to the tasks you
require.

Re: Securing Database & DSN
How would you suggest that I encrypt it? Being a major organization with mulitple users that i "have" to give access to, limiting them is not an option. please advise.
