I urge one to use Pub for loading so as to have zero mistakes in uploading.
But if you feel comfortable not doing that than you need to make sure you
upload all files and folders that publisher creates and in the correct
structure.

For future reference keep all communication in the newsgroup thread to
benefit all. No need to email me unless I have specifically directed you to
do so.

You informed me that you are framing your site http://www.petpathways.com

That is the issue. Depending on how the links are written, the frames are
written, the host sets up forwarding, etc. etc, frames are easily broken.

Since the URL http://www.petpathways.com/index_about.htm doesn't really
exist the link as it is won't work. Since the URL of the physical page is
http://www.brin.org/petpathways/index_about.htm - that is the URL you need
to specifically have in the hyperlink.

Go thru your pub file and on the hyperlinks change them from being "a page
in the publication" i.e. pointing to page 1, pointing to page 3, etc. and
select the internet address option instead and in the URL box insert the URL
of the physical page such as http://www.brin.org/petpathways/index_about.htm

Now as far as your claim that the behavior is different in Netscape, I
wouldn't think that could be, but then I am not an expert in framing (it's
not recommended) nor am I an expert in Netscape which may very well handle
framing differently then IE.

All site modifications are done in the Publisher file. You need Publisher to
write absolute versus relative links.
See the 5th paragraph of my last post.

dang, I forgot you were using the nav bar wizard. I've been referring to the
hyperlink dialog. When you make the links yourself you can use absolute or
relative.
Not so with the nav bar wizard, it's managing the links and refers to them
relative. There is nothing you can do about that.

I'd suggest asking the help desk of whomever you ordered this framing from,
tell them that your page links are all relative and the framing breaks the
page navigation, and can they do anything with their code to work around
that.

The only other thing you can do is to not use the nav bar wizard, opting to
do the linkages yourself and type in the absolute links.
