or still in the cfquery also you can display the 10 records.

You could use CFQUERY attributes startRow and maxRows to get a certain set of
records. from CF help files: startRow Optional. Specifies the row from which
to start output. maxRows Optional. Specifies the maximum number of rows to
display in the output section. Say you have 50 records and want to show 20 at
a time then for the first set your startRow and maxRows values are 1 and 20 and
for the next set 2 and 20 respectively. Only change the startRow and you are
all set. Hope this helps.

If the data doesn't change frequently, you should perform one initial query
that gets all of the records, cache it, and then query that query for only
the number of records you want to output in your template using the
startrow/maxrows functionality previously mentioned.
