Select Top - percent range? - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

I don't know the best way to go about selecting ranges of data. I want to be able to have the user select data from the table in 20% ranges of the data (0-20, 20-40, etc) and don't know how, or the best way, to accomplish this. The table is dropped every week and loaded with fresh data, however the total number of rows can change significantly. Thanks!...

Default Re: Select Top - percent range?

You can use TOP 20 PERCENT clause in your SELECT list with judicious use of
your key column in you WHERE clause to achieve the required resultset. You
can also resort to using a correlated expression which can provide the 20%
rows in a subquery. If you need specific information/query, please post your
table DDLs, sample data & expected results.
