Selecting a masked object
Freehand MX 11.0.1
first question is - How to select a masked object? When I use the subselect
tool, it only selects a part of a grouped object within a mask, is it possible
to select a masked object with one click?
Also, did Paste Inside has been replaced with Paste Content menu command in
11.0.1 ?

is it possibleYes, you can select all the objects in a clipping path. Select the clipping> to select a masked object with one click?
path and go to Edit > Select > Subselect. Everything inside the path will be
selected.
It goes much quicker if you take Judy Arndt's advice and create a keyboard
shortcut for Subselect - saves you a trip through the menus.
The Subselect tool by itself will select individual elements in the clipping
path. Hold down the Shift key to add more elements to your selection.
No, at least on a Mac, it's still Paste Inside. Cut Contents is the way to> Also, did Paste Inside has been replaced with Paste Content menu command in

reverse the Paste Inside action, however.

Re: Selecting a masked object
Thanks for an advice Ron, interestingly enough I could not find Place Inside in
Windows FH v11.0.1. I had to use Past Content after I used Cut. Not sure if I
am doing somethign wrong but it worked just like the old Paste Inside in FH 10.

Re: Selecting a masked object
If you just want to select one object inside a mask, you can option-click (Mac) the visible portion.
