Default Selecting multiple pages in Acrobat 7 "re-orders" them...

I submitted the following bug to Adobe just now. Has anyone else seen this? If so, is there a workaround? I'm going to take the affected computers back to Acrobat 5.05, which has been, in my opinion, the most stable release we've used.

    Steps to reproduce bug:
    1. Open the "Pages" sidebar on a multiple page PDF.

    2. While holding down the Apple key, randomly select pages. You may need to scroll up and down the page list, and you may need to select 7 or more pages.

    Results:

The pages are jumbled out of order. This is a real problem, as our layout artists have had several jobs returned due to this issue. This takes days out of our turnaround time, and generally makes us look bad.

    Expected results:

Selecting pages should NOT re-order them.

Your right about Acrobat e5.0.5 it was the best Acrobat ever created. If they had just made Distiller OSX compatible would still be using it.

It might be that somewhere in the selecting process the user is
accidentally moving the mouse rather than just clicking. That would
rearrange the pages, by design. It may be worth checking to see if
    that is happening.

Nope...checked this out myself. I thought that this might be the problem initially, too. But, when I tried the selection process, the same thing happened. We've seen this with more than one user as well.

    Just a bug....

It doesn't happen for me and I've been using Acrobat 7 heavily for months. It sounds like operator error or a system problem.

I agree with Steve. If you shift a selected icon a little bit, you don't have to reposition the icon, the multiple combination is ordered at the top selection. I suggest that you ask for the feature to be changed so that it doesn't collect the pages until you actually move a page to a new ordered location.

    Cheers
