Selecting objects within groups
Help! I'm using CS2 to produce an advertisement for an auto dealer. It consists of a 7x7 grid of 49 vehicles. Each vehicle space consists of a photo box, then a grouped starburst (starburst & textbox for monthly payment) on top of that, then a larger text box on top that covers all the previous elements for the vehicle name, description & sales price. I grouped these objects, then "step & repeat" ed them to create the 49 listings. Now I can't seem to select the picture box to paste a new photo into it, or select the text box grouped in the starburst to change the price. I would rather not have to ungroup every listing & then regroup when finished. Also, this advertisement is reused on a weekly basis & the listings get "shuffled" around from week to week, hence the need to group them. I've tried all combinations of keys & select/direct select tools, with no luck. Any ideas?

Re: Selecting objects within groups
on top that covers all
The problem lies here.
If this can not be changed (that the large text frame actually hides all the other elements) and you do not want / you can't ungroup the elements, then you should acquaint yourself with the commands in Object > Select. Particularly "Content", "Container", "Next item in group" and "Previous item in group"
You find these four as buttons on the control-palette too.

Re: Selecting objects within groups
The links palette can also be useful in this situation (presuming you linked the images instead of pasting). You can select a link in the palette and both "go to link" to see which it is and simultaneously select it, and relink to the correct image.
