Selecting text problems
I have a project where I need to copy the text from old PDFs and put them into a word document. Unfortunately, I think the text is actually saved as an image in these PDF files--they look like scanned documents and I'm unable to select any text. Is there ANY way around this, or am I stuck?

Re: Selecting text problems
If they are, indeed, only images then you'll need to OCR the pages using either Paper Capture or some similar piece of software.
Until then there is no actual text to copy, just an image.

Re: Selecting text problems
Thanks! I looked at paper capture and tried to install it but ran into problems because it's for Acrobat 5.0 and I have 6.0. Any suggestions? I'm not sure where to look for another program.

Re: Selecting text problems
6.0 installs with Paper Capture, you don't need to downlaod it.
