'Send a review' email not working

    Default 'Send a review' email not working

    When my client attempts to 'Send a review' via email, she gets the following
    email message:

    The server could not be found. Account: 'HTTP://www.clientcompany.couk',
    Server: 'HTTP://www.clientcompany.couk', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response:
    '', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 12007, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

    You can see that the DOT is missing from the above url in between the co &
    uk!? But it is definitely input correctly within the connection settings by the
    client.

    Hi,

    If you are trying to send for review through mail then the mail client which
    is configured is opened. where you need to input the email address. Or are you
    trying to notify recepients through email then the email address which you give
    during connection settings will be taken. I am really not sure what would be
    the problem in Contribute with respect to a wrong URL. Because contribute just
    takes the mail server url that is set.

    Hi radsman
    If you literally mean Apple Mail, then the answer is that my client is on PC,
    so presume she is using Outlook. I am on Mac and using Apple Mail and have no
    problem with the whole 'send a review' process, i.e. once I click 'send a
    review' my mail account opens up and everything is in place except for the
    email address of the recipient. Obviously I am at a different location to my
    client.
    But when my client does this, she receives the error message shown in my top
    post. She has input her email address in the 'my connections' settings (all
    triple checked). Likewise the web site url which is also correct and has the
    dot in between the co and uk.
    Just had a thought... you said, "Because contribute just takes the mail server
    url that is set." - Her email address and the web site are on different
    domains!? i.e. they have a sister company which she works for, so the domain
    name in her email address IS different from the domain of the web site... do
    you think that would cause this problem?
